Many years ago, I had the good fortune of listening to the extraordinary actor Robert Redford talk about the importance of artists taking a seat at the business table. In “Sundance: Synthesizing Art and Business” some of his unforgettable points are highlighted including the model operations he launched to fund many creative projects.

Of note, the famed actor, director and visionary of independent filmmaking founded Sundance Catalog in 1989 to promote the works of artists and craftspeople from across the country and around the world. From a small operation run out of the attic of the old Sundance Village firehouse, Sundance has grown to become one of America’s preeminent lifestyle retailers.

Sundance, a premier lifestyle retailer of women’s and men’s apparel, footwear, jewelry, accessories, art and home décor continues to thrive through Robert Redford‘s vision. The newest store in Nashville, TN, recently opened at The Mall at Green Hills, located at 2126 Abbott Martin Road in Nashville. The exciting area is experiencing tremendous growth in both industry and culture.

Longtime Champion for Creativity and the Arts

Since 1989, Sundance has championed creativity and the arts. With a historical commitment to artisans, Sundance donated a portion of the proceeds from the grand opening weekend to OZ Arts Nashville, a local non-profit committed to bringing world-class performances and art to Nashville, and giving ambitious local artists opportunities to work on a grand scale.

The newest Sundance Store at The Mall at Green Hills is one of four stores to open across the country by the end of the year.  Since 2015, Sundance has opened stores in Edina, MNDallas, TXSouthlake, TXScottsdale, AZTigard, ORSan Diego, CAAtlanta, GALeawood, KS, and plans to continue to expand their retail locations over the next several years. One-of-a-kind pieces and Sundance exclusive items will continue as the cornerstones for product offerings.

Sundance Headquarters, Retail Stores and Catalog

Sundance headquarters are located in Salt Lake City, UT.  In addition to The Mall at Green Hills, the company’s unique product selection is available through its Sundance Catalog, 10 other retail stores in Corte Madera, CALone Tree, COEdina, MNDallas, TXSouthlake, TXScottsdale, AZTigard, ORSan Diego, CAAlpharetta, GALeawood, KS, an outlet store in Salt Lake City, UT, and website www.sundancecatalog.com.
